Since 2001, Energy Smart Canada has helped thousands of Southern Albertans embrace green-living through solar installations, geothermal systems, and other energy-saving solutions. The addition of Smart Utilities allows customers to maximize savings from their renewable energy retrofits with competitive utility rates built around their unique energy systems.
As Alberta’s deregulated energy market continues to provide consumers with more choices, Smart Utilities offers a straightforward approach to electricity and natural gas. Customers can choose fixed or floating rate plans, access transparent pricing, and receive local support from a team that understands the unique energy needs of Southern Alberta.
Smart Utilities also introduces innovative programs designed to maximize value for customers. One of these offerings is the Solar Club, which allows solar owners to switch between high export rates during peak solar production months and lower import rates during the winter, helping them maximize the return on their solar investment throughout the year.
In addition to helping customers save on their utility bills, Smart Utilities is committed to giving back to the community it serves. The company donates 10% of its profits to Bridges of Hope, a Lethbridge-based charitable organization that supports individuals and families experiencing poverty and homelessness around the world.
