Right from the initial meeting with Jason! He educated us and answered all our questions very well – we felt comfortable with his presentation. Energy Smart looked after all the City permits and needed inspections – so easy for us! The installation crew even showed up earlier than Jason had said! They were all very professional and worked well together, kept us informed all through the process as to what they were up to and then, get this: cleaned up after themselves! Scott followed up with us going through the online app so we can keep track of the energy produced and savings! He answered our questions very well too. It’s great to support a local company and so nice to have the crew and support staff all take such pride in their craft! Highly recommend anyone looking to have solar panels to call Energy Smart Canada!!

The company, employees, and especially Alex, our project manager provided us with excellent service, repeatedly going over and above to ensure we were so happy with our system and the work they provided. We purchased the in-ground heat pump with a heat pump water heater, which required a new electrical panel.

Jake drilled six small holes that were around 70 metres deep and operating the tractor to dig a 2 meter trench connecting the ground piping to our house. It was truly impressive watching his skill and maneuverability in such a small space, especially how close he could get to our home and patio posts without touching them. Then Alex and Leif came into to do the difficult manual shovelling, taking extra care to go above and beyond, even removing some extra material that was close to the area needed but was not required by the job. This required very physical hard labour and they still did it with kindness and gracious smiles. Then Jordan and Jared did the final wiring up of the electrical. I made sure to thank them every day and to keep cold pop, juice, and water on hand.

The cons are small: We found the initial scheduling and communication lacking. We were originally told the job should be done in August, but it really took until October. Alex and his team always left the job very neat, but on days when other people came into the house, I would find metal clipping or pieces. I have young kids, so it was annoying to have to pick through the carpet. I have a safety background and regularly noticed they would be doing loud work without hearing protection or heavy work without shoes. In my opinion the company needs to have a high safety standard to protect their excellent employees quality of life. I hope they invest in canvas drop cloths to put under the work path/area so they could keep steel toes on in clients homes and to better catch cuttings.

They were not the cheapest, but the quality of their work and service definitely made the price 100% worth it. I also really appreciated the quality of people they employ. My partner works out of town, so I was handling the onsite work and they were so polite and patient, never once did I feel unsafe or even uncomfortable. If I had questions or concerns, they would stop and talk to me about it until we came to a solution and I was satisfied. I was, and still am just staggered at the extra care and attention they put in to making us happy. Alex and the team have now set a standard I will compare all further tradespeople to. Thank you!

They installed a geothermal NetZero system in my home that handles heating, cooling, and domestic hot water all in one unit. The installation was compact, simple, and very efficient, which helped keep the overall cost quite reasonable. The performance of the system is truly impressive reliable, quiet, and energy efficient. Highly recommended for anyone considering geothermal solutions.

We were met with extremely educated and qualified staff who supported us through the entire process. They were patient with our questions and kept us informed along the way. Any hiccups we experienced were met with kind, respectful, and caring responses from the sales and admin staff. The installation team were also extremely respectful and caring in our home.

They helped us out with information every step of the way, including signing up for the Greener Homes Loan. While we were waiting for the install due to the extremely high demand they have, the team kept us updated on where we were in their queue and with permits.

Once they were ready to install them, the team was so efficient and we had them fully running within two days! They made sure we were happy every step of the way, even confirming that we were happy with where they installed the wiring. When everything was finished, they sent us a very detailed list of the next steps to take to complete our loan, switch to power companies that would give us more value, and apply for other funding.

We’re excited to already be producing power even though our install happened right before the winter weather hit and can’t wait to maximize our panels through the summer!

Everyone was courteous and friendly. They anticipated many of our questions as well as some we hadn’t considered. All follow up inquiries and concerns were dealt with immediately. Work was completed well within the timeframe given to us at the beginning of our enquiries. The installation crew was the most personable, capable, and efficient group of workers we’ve had the privilege of hiring. The office staff helped us install and understand the App that tracks our production, when we ran into difficulties. AND they never made us feel inadequate! We highly recommend Energy Smart for their professional and personable service.

Energy Smart and Corellian helped us with a small sun room extension with solar panels. We can also monitor how well the solar panels are working each day (depending on the amount of sun they are receiving) and reduction of CO2 through the use of the solar panels. Everything was done on time and very professionally. I highly recommend working with Energy Smart and Ian!

Our geothermal unit died. Pete from Energy Smart came and did an evaluation. After much troubleshooting and ordering of parts it was determined we needed a new unit. Pete and the team went above and beyond to help us apply for the greener homes grant and loan. After 2 months of waiting on approval, Pete and his crew were there the next day to install our new unit before the cold snap hit.

I have been a customer with Energy Smart for 18 years now. They installed my geothermal system back in 2005. I use their Arctic Spa hot tub and now I have had their team install a solar micro generation system for me. Everything has gone flawlessly. I look forward to seeing what they come up with next.

“Plug and play” is what I think of as it all was so seamless and now I can monitor the production of the units anytime and anywhere I want to do so. Adrien and Christine in the office have gone far beyond their “job description” to be encouraging, cheerful and so helpful in walking with me from the initial stage to completion of the project. Not only that, but they continue to be available to answer any questions I have, doing so much more than I expected for a retailer/installer. I cannot say more good about them and Energy Smart Lethbridge.
